That engine is a 376cc liquid cooled suzuki engine. It takes oil that is "Wet Clutch" compatible. Use either the ARctic Cat oil, or my favorite is the Amsoil stuff that is safe for ATV's. Basically, just make sure you get an oil that is good for ATV's.

Hey thanx! Is this a decent motor, or quad in general? Not like it matters it is my parents, and I am getting old so they are old lol. Not like it is going to see half of what it can do.

I would suggest that you change the oil often. I change mine 2 time a year and I probable would even if I did not ride it. I had an issue a while back with water getting into the oil and freezing up in the oil cooler and blocking the oil flow to the top end. Needless to say , I had to rebuild the top end. $1300 in parts which is a lot of oil changes, even with the higher oil prices right now.

I am inching closer to the 10k mark on miles right now on my 400 manual. All I can say is, it has never let me down as long as I do a little thing celled "preventative maintenance". Which is what you do so you don't have issues. case and point, I am considering replacing my clutch this winter some time, not because I am having trouble but because I have almost 10k miles on it and have adjusted it up the wazu and don't want it to be an issue when I am using it.

I will also add that I think the AC 400 is towards the top , if no the top, selling ATV for AC.
