THE h1 is a nice quad, but stock its not near as quick as the v-twin. My friends ride each and both are great on rough trails and mud. the friend with the h1 is getting sum upgrades from speed werx, and hes told it will blow by the twin. for a few dollars more than the 500, the 650 is worth the money. check out ebay for some really low prices on 07's. i got my brute for $6500 otd a while back
