That's what it is all about "ego" Thats why we make things go faster build them taller. If we didn't have this ego or competition we not be were we are today.

With the recent addition of the Thunder Cat, it begs the question. Is it too much and will we eventually see 1000cc+ machines out there? Is there a justifiable need for this much power off the racetrack? Do you think that alot of folks with deep pockets and shallow experience will get hurt/killed ? Is it just the natural evolution of our sport?

Most people will buy what suits their personality and ego. Some think that bigger is better.

Here is some food for thought.
On ICE, which would win an 1/8 mile race, a fully blown dragster or a VW beetle?
Do you really need a Mack semi to haul a cord of wood or would a 1/2 ton Pickup get the job done.
Which would give you the best traction in the snow? A short-box light 1/2 ton pickup with wide tires or a weighted down long box (filled with sand or wood) with narrow tires?

My opinion is that the Utility ATV has reached an over-kill point with respect to engines except in special need situations of heavy work or competition, but certainly in the recreation rider segment. It is also my opinion that the buying segment is made up of 95% recreation riders.
