Has anybody heard ot the Swisher brand plow? Does it work well or better then othere? Will there universal mounting kit fit on my 2007 AC 650 H1? Is there a better plow for the money? Any input would be great. Thanks

 

they look real good built tough but i just bought a warn plow swisher was too pricey got to use the warn today and im happy!

 

I have a Swisher brush hog and it works well and is built solid so I would think they have good plows also! You never know until you buy the product at least thats what I have found. Hope this helps.

 

I bought a cycle country and it seems very well built. The price seemed good compared to alot of others. The mounting bracket lined up perfect. I would say it took me about 45 minutes to put the mount on the AC and install the push frame to the blade. If you buy a cycle country, don't pay anyone to install it. You can install it no problem. If you can loosen bolts and tighten bolts, you can do it.

Best plow for the money is the Arctic Cat one. I had a Swisher, and hated it. That universal mount is a joke, you loose about 6" of ground clearance and was streached a little too much for my H1.

 

I'm glad you said something Catterman cause i almost went with the Swisher. I think they had pretty good deals on the AC ones here in town. I think they were about 350 for the plow and mount and everything else needed. Is this a good deal? O and it was for a 50 inch.

 

When I take the plow off I only loose about an inch of ground cleance with the bracket.

 

I don't loose any clearance with my cycle country bracket. Takes about 30 seconds to attach the push frame to the bracket and you are good to go. A guy on eBay has the plows for $100 but you have to pick them up. That is only for the plow. You need a push frame and mounting bracket too. I paid $450 for all of my plow parts locally. I also bought a Gorilla winch off eBay for $100. Seems like the biggest thing you need to look at is the bracket. Some cause you to loose clearance and some don't. Make sure you research that for your year and model. Actual plows are probably very competitive.

 

I have the Swisher blade. They're right - the universal mount kills GC. But, I don't use it over rough ground, so that didn't matter. It's a metal blade, not fiberglass, so you can push gravel and dirt with it, too.

Swisher has recently added a front mount 50" finishing mower that uses the universal hitch. Looks nice.
