Default I just bought a DVX 400

I've got the Dennis Kirk catalog and someone bought the tires i was going to drop on my LT230 (Bear Claws' 22in). Now they look alot meatier in the pics than they do in person. Any suggestions as what I can use? I have the stock tires on there with maybe 30% tread left.. and I get stuck cruising with 4x4's all the time. Stock is 20x10-9. Now I want to buy a 2nd set of rims for hardcore mud/snow, get a little more clearance on the rear swingarm, but I have nerf bars and I'd say I only have 1-1&1/2in of clearance on the heel guards left with the stockers. I'm sure I could tighten the chain a little and get to just under 2.

These are what I've narrowed my choices down to, looking at the treads in the Dennis Kirk catalog:

Swamp Fox's
ITP Mud Lite SP
Kenda Bear Claw

Now the summer tires I don't know what to get, I think the holeshot's are too agressive from my riding style, I'm not a jumps/tricks person. So I was going to use Carlisle Trail Wolfs for summer riding?..

Any suggestions?

I plan on having to dish out extra for a set of spare rims anyways if they happen to be 10in rim/tires *(for the winter).. what do you guys think? Sick of the swingarm putting me dead in the snow.

Well I don't ride mine (kfx400) in deep snow so not sure on that but Kenda Knarly's hook pretty good and last a long time.

You are going to lose power if you go with taller tires. I use the Holeshot GNCC tires for warmer months with good results. If you want ultimate traction in winter stud up a set of wheels. Unless the snow is to deep you will blow away the 4x4's. I actually use mine for ice fishing and a little ice racing between friends during the winter months. Several dealers sell the studs specifically for atv tires.

ive heard good things about the gbc dirt devils on sport quad rears, seen alot of em on the trail too. good cleanout for mud and snow and they wear very well which will be good for your type of quad, lotsa power to the rear wheels. ditto on the increased tire height losing power, try different spring for your swingarm.
