Default headlight upgrade

The headlights on my 07 500 do not seem very bright and I was wondering if anyone has done an upgrade to a higher intensity bulb and if so, what was involved?

Default headlight upgrade

I remember reading a post on here some time ago about a guy switching out his bulbs for high intensity bulbs. I think it made them brighter but I believe it melted something. I think the factory bulbs are 27 watts. Not 100% sure about that though.

I made a light bar that plugs into my front rack MRP rack and the accessory plug for extra added off road lights. Mostly use them in the winter for plowing. They are both 55watt lights and really light things up. Only thing I was cautioned about by a dealer mechanic friend was not to install hand warmers as well as the combination of extra lights and hand warmers could over load the charging system.

Try taking the bulbs out and going to the auto parts store as a start.
