i was riding my atv the other day i noticed that the front left tire was squeaken
i thought it was the brakes so i looked at it... i can push the tire in and out i was told it could be the ball bearings my right tire does it to but it don't move as mutch as the left... my atv is a year and some months old i have not replaced any bearings yet i do alot of mud and water riding i was just wanting to now if anyone has had this problem because i dont wanna buy bearings for nothing

ive replaced 8, getting ready to do a 9th after tomarrow probably. i too do lots of mud/water and some sand riding. an easy way to find out is to lift the bike and wiggle the tire back and forth. lots of movemnt means it goin out, or it is shot. little movement is normal. replacing is pretty easy to, time consuming though. the squeaking is a give away too.

I ride mostly on a beach with lots of sandy gravel and silt mud. I do not ride it in the salt water. I also try not to direct the pressure stream from the washer directly at the seals. I have repacked my bearings twice but I have almost 10k miles on the factory bearings. Theya re starting to show some wear.
I used Marine grade grease when I repacked the earing last time. It must be working. But it does sound like you need bearings replaced Phat Cat. I will add that if you run oversized tires and spin the tires when they catch it can cause some twisting to be transferred to the axle nut and shear off the cotter pin that hold it in place. Then the nut can back off and loosen up on the bearing. I have seen this happen but it is easy to see by removing the tire and looking at the cotter pin on the end of the axle.
