I purchased the rear cargo storage when I purchased my TRV in October. I have since moved to the hard storage box. They are not strong enough to support the riders arms while riding. Also are only water resistant not waterproof.

The hard storage box is by Kimpex (358450) and you also need the rear rack (073072). The rear rack connects to the seat on the sides when you take the AC hand grips off. The box then attaches to the rack. To take the box and seat off, just pull the same to pins and lift off, just a little heavier depending what you have in it. It can hold a lot. I looked on line in the Kimpex catalog and got all the information to order from my dealer. When I got to my dealer he had just gotten in stock so I did not have to wait. It is made to fit around the AC and Can-Am seats. You can even get Hand Muffs for it and electric hand warmers. I really like mine.

The TRV back seat fits into the special frame work that AC has for it. You might be able to replace your back rack with this frame, but with the TRV being about 8" longer than a regular ATV so the back seat rider is in front of the rear axle. Best thing would be to go to dealer an take some measurements and see if it would work and if you could just get the back frame and seat for the TRV.

My 2008 did not have a stubby rack out back. All I have is a round bar. The rack replaces the AC hand grips and gives the storage box something to attach to on the sides and rear. The storage box comes with four u bolts. I put one on either side near the front of the box and then one on each side in the rear. Once attached to the rack, the seat, rack and box comes off as one unit.
Have not seen the new rack on the AC's but if it does not come off with the seat, then that could be a problem.
