Default 05 650 V2

This is probably a really dumb question, but while trying to get my quad un-swamped I came to this question. I was under the impression that the 650 V2 was a twin cylinder motor. When I was crawling under my machine it is stamped V2 but it is only single cylinder. Is it only a model of single cylinder from Kawasaki or did I get really hosed in this. I really love my quad and have been beating up the trails (when I'm not deployed) while pulling out my buddies that are stuck on their Polaris quads.
Thanks for your help.

well take a look at your motor does it look like a v you would see 2 cylinder heads with cooling fins. if you only see one then i would say you got screwed. did you buy it used???

No it was brand new when I bought it. The motor is stamped V2 which is why I was wondering. Everytime I go to the dealer they only give me one plug for the motor and all other maintenance parts are always correct. When I saw the stamp I started wondering. As for the machine it is a beast, high ground clearance and as much power as you can use. Like I said it was a curious question.

thats strange. do the stickers on the pod say v2??? if you had a v2 you would need 2 plugs. and you would have 2 carbs.

What do the decals say on the quad? On the V-2 it says V-2 by your legs by the floor board and on the outside of the pod. Take the air cleaner off and see if it has 2 separate air inlets witch would mean it has twin carbs, one cyl will be in the front of the bike on the V-2 the other one is kind of under the seat, pull the seat off and you will see the second cyl, did your dealer sell it to you as a V-2 and does the clutch cover say Kawasaki on it? clutch cover with Kawasaki on it means its a V-2. If you went to your dealer and asked for plugs for a 650 he may have assumed it was an H1 and may have neglected to ask you if it was a V-2.

The cover says Kawasaki and I looked at and it looks like it has 2 cylinders but I only see 1 plug cord. It is stamped uner the motor V2 whjich is what prompted the Question.

It is the twin cylinder if it has Kawasaki stamped on the lid. You aparently have a cylinder that still has the stock plug in it. You get to the rear plug by taking the seat off and the front plug through the fender well.

You won't have any fins on the cylinder heads, it's a liquid cooled engine.

I have crawled around my quad alot in the past few days. I can see the second cylinder but I cannot see the plug for that cylinder. It is running great but I want to make sure I am taking care of it as best I can. I have replaced the CDI and the next thing is a K&N filter as well as new tires.
