Hi All,

Just purchased a 07 H1 650 and have notice the transmission growls when driving. I have an '04 400 and an '05 v2 650 also and do not hear the deep growl like I do on the H1. For those who have driven this model, is this growl normal? Other than the growl, it drives great.

 

Got one, Got it new in Dec. 200 miles on it now and no growling. went to synthetic after 30 miles of mud riding. really like it. lots of power

 

Thanks, I'm beginning to think its the side engines panels that echos the engine noise. I'll ride another and compare.

 

I leave mine off in winter. ( heats my legs )

 

I have not noticed a growl but the engine does make a lot of noise. I could not hear a growl if it were makeing one. It is my wifes bike and she does not mind the noise as much as I do. I am used to my quite Honda.
