I just got an 05 arctic cat 500 manual. I've snorkled it with 1.5 inch pvc. i have all my lines ran up to the gauge pod. It does fine for the first 30 to 40 seconds its under then it starts to sputter and die. my carb is getting water in it somehow. i just don't understand why? any input is welcome thanks. i would like to hear form someone that has one of these snorkled. thanks

i thought about that but the bolt should stop the flow of anything in or out of the carb when its tight. I'm just wondering if the carb itself might have some leaks and isn't waterproof. i was just wondering if anyone else had encountered this problem.

well i thought the same, and if fuel wasnt coming out, how could water get in? well trust me, it will! i have snorkled 2 07's and had to put silicone over them, then it was fine. try it
