Found a pretty good deal (i think) on a used '06 500.

Can anyone give me advice on this one?

I cant believe how much heavier they are than some of the other big bore quads. Is it a noticable difference?

Were there any known issues/problems with this year?

Is it enough power for me? I'm 6'4" 200lbs. I'm not looking for a speed machine, but I dont want an underpowered quad either. I'm into technical riding, mostly at slow speeds. Lots of tight rocky trails, etc.

It's got 3.6 gears stock so with a heavy duty clutch kit and close to stock tires it will be a torque beast. shouldn't have any problems tech. riding. nice find though!!

 

The 500 Cats are bullet proof, and they love the rough terrain. They have more than enough power and will do 50+ mph. That sounds like an excellent price.

 

sounds good, them 500s are quick and powerful, a little sluggish on the top end but very quick to get there...
