I think companies are just trying to pare down their offerings. Making 150cc's in between them instead of 100cc's

Just an wild guess. It maybe just a fact that a certain stroke or bore from parts already being made ended up at that CC.
I do think we will see alot of companies cutting lesser selling models out of their lineups.
