Default Enhancements to my 2009 'Cat 700.

I haven't posted here in quite some time, but that's more to do with putting the bike away in the Winter months than anything. When I bought my '09 700 EFI in September of last year. 'Cat was offering 2 years of extra warranty for like $900, so I took it. Now I have 4 years of warranty, three and a half years left now, and have gotten interested in modding. Not a good combination. So far, all that has been done to the bike is upped the tire size by one inch, from 25" to 26" tires, and put on a bush guard. I went with the Kenda Executioners and really like them for the mud. Is there really anything else that can be done to a quad under warranty to improve performance? Or maybe just to improve cooling or limit the access that mud and water have to getting at the air breathers for the clutch and fuel system? I know I shouldn't be thinking about doing anything that will mess with my warranty, so I'm wondering what things others have done to improve on an already solid platform that won't mess it up? Thanks all.

I would read your warranty conditions very carefully...the larger tires you installed could possibly violate your warranty terms...leave it to the lawyers to get tricky there. They may say it in general terms which can be misleading. ("any part that substantially alters the engine's performance" or some bullsh!t like that)

I just bought a 09 Dodge Challenger and learned that installing a catback exhaust could, technically, violate the terms of my extended warranty.

Default Enhancement to 2009 AC 700

Going from 25" to 26" tires won't void your warranty as long as you don't go up on the wheel size , the 26' tire is only about 1" taller than the 25" stock tire so this shoildn't void a warranty ; but going up on the wheel size can void the warranty even if your Dealership sold and installed the wheel's for you !

I don't even think that a clutch mod for the 26" tire's would be needed , you could however talk to your Dealership to just to ease your mind about this just to play it safe !........
