Does anyone have the testing procedure for the stator, I have no spark and the coil tests out ok, The main ground to the motor case bolt was no good and the small ground wire in the wiring harness shorted out from the load. I replaced the wire and now there is no spark, Also is there an easy way to check the CDI if the stator checks out ok.

I have a manual for the 2001 manual 500, and if it's the same cdi(which i believe it is, same part #), you can test the leads out of the cdi for the proper resistance values with an ohm meter. There's about 50 different variations of the leads to test, takes about 20 mins.

I can send the 2 pages which describe exactly how to do this along with the correct resistance readings via e-mail if you still need to test it.
