OK all of you AC fans pretend that the powers to be at Arctic Cat are listening and they want you to update the 300 / 400 & 500cc 4x4 product for the 2002 year model. Remember, you're not making a totally new ATV just updating & improving the present models.

Get some more revs out of the 500/400. Maybe a slight increase in dispalacement would help there too since I think that's where everyone is going to be headed soon. It might be time to try and compete on the speed scale. With the added power some 26" Titan 589's would work really nice as standard equipment. Shave 20 lbs from each model too. Maybe even one more color. A 400 auto has my attention as a solid second quad for my family and novice friends.

Taller tires, more displacement, more front end differential locking. Also more ground clearance at rear differential. Thats it for me!

How about true 4 wheel drive
More ground clearance
A working and quiet fuel gauge or maybe one of those new electronic (waterproof) gauge packages that has all the information including rpm and hours.

Is the 400 in a selectable 2w/4w going to be a reality or something of a myth? Would also like to see something in a youth model.

1.How about a different Plastic design??? Get some better "rattle resistant" body panels.
2.Then change that crapy Range selector on the 250-300 models, IT SUCKS.
3.Then mount the 300 4wd's front diff on a 500 model.
4.Put a 500's piston in the 400s motor to give it a truer engine size.(403cc or 402.8cc)
5.Oil cooler on the 400-500 models.
6.Preload adjustable shocks.
7.Better lights.
8.Better storage area.
9.Cast aluminum wheels like the Suzuki 500.
10. Lower 2nd gear and a 6th gear for cruiseing at 45+mph.(400-500 models)
11. Reduce the weight of all models.

And thats about all we need to upgrade IMO.

on the 500 - better fuel gauge, better front lights, handle bar mounted light, rear work lights, adjustable shocks, park on trans, tighter turning radius...all i can think of for now.

Give me the King Quad differential and 5mph more on the top end and I will trade and be forever satisfied.

My list would consist of

1. 400 displacement bumped up to a true 400 instead of the 37?cc it is now, and it have all of the features the 500 has including the auto

2. Bump the 300 to a true 300cc or maybe even a 325cc

3. have the 250 and 300 4x4's have the diff lock from the factory

4. better light across the entire line up

5. The 500 have some type of locker

6. A little bit higher gearing for hi on the 500

7. A very large gas tank, for them extended trips. Like a ten gallon tank would be nice.

8. Make an ultra quiet quad in the 500cc range. That would be great for the serious hunter.

9. then my dream a quad to go agianst the polaris scrambler 4x4 and the wolverine. Make it light wieght around the wolverines wieght. Use the DR400 mill that suzuki has in the bikes. But punch it out to a 450-500cc range. Make it a six speed with a low first gear, kind of like the wolverine is setup. It should have mucho suspension atleast 9 inches all the way around. God that would be a fun bike
