Default 09 AC550 Won't Start

Hey guys I am looking for some help. I own a 09 550 TRV. It only has 77mi on it. I ran into a problem with it not starting last month. When it did start it would not stay running for more than 30 sec. I would try and restart it and it would not start again for several hours.

I brought to the dealer. They had it for 2 weeks and could not duplicate the problem. (I still was charged $150 even though they just started it up and let it idle!!) When I got home it the same problems occurred.

I then drained the fuel, put in non-oxy gas, replaced the fuel filter, checked the gap on my plug (it was way off), and put in fuel stabilizer. It started right up and ran well for about a week. I tried starting the machine today after it sat for 4 days without running and I having the same issues.

What am I missing? The dealer said they checked the ECM for codes and no new error codes came up. I do not beat on my machine. Its in mint condition. I always warm the machine up before driving it.

Do the atvs now days need to be started and driven everyday? Is this a problem that the AC 550 is known for? Should I switch brands?

Any help would be great,

Thank you

You need spark and fuel for it to run, which don't you have? A simple thing to check on a new atv is the battery connections and grounds.

not sure if it has anything to do with your issue, but some of the 700 have had to have the (TPS) Throttle positioning sensor adjusted. On my 08 700(suzuki motor) there is a white connector under the seat. Im not sure if yours is there or if you have one since its an arctic cat motor, but you can use a paperclip to jump 2 wires and see if the tps is adjusted correctly. If yours is WAY off it may just not want to start. I am NOT saying this is your problem but it might. Mine and others on here too would start but want to die or die while riding. It could also be something totally different. Ill keep an eye out for someone with the same issues.
