Default 08 700 efi breather problem

ok so i finally took the 700 out today and got to break her cherry. problem is i had a full tank of gas and every time i hit a bump a couple drops of gas would come out of the breather under the speadometer housing. it wasn't bad to start the day out then it just got worse and worse. i started getting a headache and knew that it shouldn't leak gas like that. after it got down to 3/4 of a tank it seemed it started to get better but then we had to hurry cause i had to pull my buddy out of the woods cause his wheeler died and a storm was rolling in.

i guess i will have to trace that tube down to see exactly where it goes. i am hoping mudslingingfool will chime in here as he seems to be my go to guy and maybe he has an idea. it seemed like we started the day out and it was fine and then it just progressively got worse but then again the terrain got progressively rougher.

Cool

The wifey's 550 was doing the same thing. I found that the fuel tank breather 1-way valve was plugged/covered w/mud. (located above the tank along the frame)

Washed it - cleaned it - NP since.

my .02¢

ok there s no valve. traced the tube from the nipple coming off the tank all the way to under the speedo pod and it is just a solid tube from start to finish.

3/8" Check Valve Diesel or Gas 10mm One Way Fuel Flow: eBay Motors (item 250686105654 end time Sep-20-10 15:39:10 PDT) would something like this work? let the fuel tank suck air in but not let fuel come out? what size fuel line is on it? these guys have all different sizes.
