I have artic cat 300 i bought used to fix up,the starter was working while i was trying to start it,i ran the battery down,recharged it long story short i had starter checked when i put it on and fired it up i hear it spinning but not engaging !! any ideas Thanks:

 

Sounds like the Bendix, note sure on those Suzuki motors if the Bendix is a separate part or built onto the starter. If its spinning the starter is doing its job, but the Bendix job is to engage in to the fly wheel.

 

I see no signs of a bendix on the starter what else could it be?
