hi all. i just got a 250 in excellent shape but i have a question, it is a 4x4 and i thought it was full time 4x4 but i was looking at the front differential today and it has a lever on the top of it that i would think moved it into and out of 4x4? there is no lever or handle on the lower left front fender like the ones that have the 2x4 4x4 handle? and there are no brackets or anything else on it like anything is missing? does anyone know why it would have this lever?i did read something about ythe 250 having an option of something . but i wouldnt think that would be an optional part? thank you much

 

You are right the lever does put it in and out of 4 wheel drive and the lever was optional. I had one and it was a great quad. I still have the manual for it if you need one.

 

i would love to have a manual for it. i didnt get anything with this one. so what do ytou do with that lever on the diff, just leave it alone? and what are the optional parts just the brackets and lever? i wonder why they put it on there at all? so if i got the optional kit it would be able to be 4x4 or 2x4? thats a weird option dont you think. let me know what we can do on the manual and thank you very much for responding

 

Message me your address and i will mail you the manual. The optional kit allows you to switch between 2x4 and 4 x4. I just opt'ed to leave it in 4x4 and didn't have any issues.
