Mine was tweaked when I bought it also, but not as bad. Its really amazing what repairs you can make on things, especially with the aid of a shop. I used various "helper" tools to straighten bent tie rods and frame pieces. I made sure they were safe or reinforced and have been good for years. I had to use my truck for weight and a 6 foot prybar to straighten the rear rack also. I thik there is some pride in "creativity". I would think once you ride it, minor adjustments can be made to make it feel comfortable again.

 

I brought it to the frame shop and they looked at it and said they thought it could be fixed. Leaft it with them and they did their thing and they got it almost 100 percent straight. There is still a small toe on the one tire but I think that can be fixed by making minor adjustments to the steering. I think the 500 bucks(9 hours labour) it cost me to get it straightened was worth it because a frame swap is a lot of work and I couldn't even find a frame to swap into and most likely would have cost about the same or more. Couple of late nights in the garage putting it back together and getting it ready to go and ill let you know how it handles. Thanks for the advice and help.

 

9 hours? gezzz what did they do dissemble it down to a bare frame?

 

It went in with almost everything off the front end except wheels and suspension. It was bent really bad, pushed back about 2.5" on left side. kinked left side main frame tube, bent both uprights one in and one out, and put a bad twist into the front of it. I hit a log cut off at about 50km/h with the lead edge of front left rim. It was bent pretty bad and I didn't even expect it to be fixable. but they took their time and got it almost 100 percent straight
