Default Line out of place/missing

After getting stuck in very deep mud and a day of hard riding I noticed a clear line about the diameter of a pencil dangling down on the underside of the atv. It's almost like a fish tank airline. im not too familiar with four wheelers and specifically mine since I just got it. It's a 2007 Arctic Cat 400. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Usually a vent line. Either from the fuel tank, battery, carb, transmission, front or rear diff.

First off, you should reply to one of the threads, not both. See if you can delete one of them. Hopefully its easy to fix. If its near the front, it may be a fuel vent. If its in the middle it could be carb or battery. Try to follow where it goes, or check in the battery box and look at the carb for places a line like that looks like it plugs into. The battery will have a line on the side of it on the top going thru a hole on the body plastic.Hopefully you will see where it was disconnected from. If you have a friend somewhat knowledgeable with these it should be pretty easy to do a process of elimination to find the place of origin.
Let me know if you need more detailed help with figuring this out. flilawsa@msn.com Frank
