Hello all,
Just bought a 2000 Arctic Cat 500 4x4 auto. Has 4200 miles on it and it and it seems to run well. Just put a winch on it and the plow arrives tomorrow but I was wondering if there are any issues with this year and model I should take care of as sort of a preventative maintenance? Also any direction on where to look for a set of red fenders front and back? It's green but would prefer red. Any help or insight is greatly appreciated.

 

A friend of mine has that same machine and I don't believe hes had any major problems with it. And Im not sure where to get new plastics but I assume you could pick some u from an arctic cat dealer but they will most likely be quite expensive. Maybe you could get some from a wrecked machine at a wreckers. Im not sure but royal distributing or another establishment like that should have them.

 

you are looking around $1000 for new plastics at least that's what i was priced out for my 2014. go talk to your local dealer they may have old stock from a canceled order kicking around. mine was going to make me a smoking deal on some 2008 plastics. next step would be ebay or start searching your area for salvage yards that stock that type of thing
