Something happened to me a couple weeks ago that I wanted to share with the manual AC owners.
While attempting to climb a steep, rut filled hill, I accidently stepped on and maintained pressure on the shifter. Needles to say, I only got about 3/4 up the hill before I realized that the engine was revving and I wasn't going anywhere. I was left in quite a scary situation.
The surface was very loose, so the brakes weren't much help. Luckily, nothing got messed up but my shorts! Anyway, learn from my mistake and be careful where you put your feet.

Yes, I know what you mean. I have big feet and sometimes moving around due to side hills and the same thing happens. Makes for interesting times.
