So the machine is brand new - got a good deal on last year's model... I plan on letting the warranty run out and get 500-1000 miles on it.
I was wondering about some simple easy mods to help boost some power - I know so much of the time there are restrictions that are not ussaly hard to fix.....if I but it in 4 wheel lock, stop in a 10 inchs of snow it bogs pretty good for 2-3 seconds then takes off. Just wondering what people have been doing

Maybe the performance will get better once its broken in as Zrock is implying. There are little things you can do that don't cost a lot of money like putting in a different plug or air filter than stock. It simply might be some sort of factory limiter in diff-lock as well. Like a reverse limiter, which I have always hated. Putting the machine in 4x4 should override any limiter as it should be assumed that you need full power.

The best mod you can most likely make would be have the sheaves machined and the fixed plate welded. Some one like "Airdam" or "Papa Slap" who specializes in these CVT type drives. They can machine the faces of the sheaves so the belt drops lower on take off giving you a lower geared start. Cut the fixed plate, roll the lip in some and weld will cause the weights to force the plates closer together on top end and give you a slightly higher gear ratio.
