Default Clutch grinding noise

Hello there I am a owner of a 2004 Arctic cat 650 vtwin, I'm currently experiencing a grinding noise coming from the primary clutch area; I have the cover off and nothing physically to explain the noise; it gets louder and louder the more you accelerate; has anyone experienced this issue? Please help

Doesn't make a sound in neutral or with belt off

I would check any bearings in there. Download a parts manual from <mymowerparts.com> You should be able to identify the location of any bearings. May be easy, may be a real pita.

Do you think it could even be there U joint in rear drive shaft? Cause I just have learned they are completely shot, it's flange on flange; and that would explain why the noise doesn't occur in neutral right?

Well, you gotta fix it anyway, you are probably right. I looked at the parts manual for that model, no obvious bearings to fail, so.... BTW, when I bought my Diesel used, it had a heck of a rattle in the CVT area. Took off the cover, bingo- there was a 3/8" drive Harley Davidson socket in there, floating around!

If it's not happening in neutral or with the belt off, then it's most likely in the driven 1/2. Sound like you might have found it with the U-Joint issue.
