Default greasing the clutch??

I'm going through my 2010 550 TRV and doing maintanence on it.

My clutch makes a rattling type noise. I think the sound is coming from the rollers, but I am going to pull it apart to clean it and replace the one way bearing while I'm there.

My question is, do you guys grease the clutch up like the guy in this video?

The amounts he uses seems excessive and some guys I talk to don't even grease any part of the clutch when they service it.

Whats the proper way?

I think that guy was in 'Deliverance"! Good God, musta used 5 pounds of grease! Never saw any grease when I "hyper clutched" my 700. Asking for trouble.

I've never greased mine either. Mostly because when I first took it apart there was no grease in it to begin with.

MY clutch is LOUD though. I swear the noise is the rollers flopping back and forth so I thought maybe it does need a bit of grease.

I'm picking up the one way bearing at the dealer ship in a couple days. I'll ask the service desk about the grease.

I would trust the engineers at Arctic Cat over Mr Grease Man. I'm sure grease will make it quieter, for a while, until heat thins it out and it starts coming thru onto the belt.
