Just replaced the flywheel on my machine an reassembled everything. I noticed that I slide the shift selector out, away from the unit so the selector gears are no longer in contact but not completely out. I believe I put all the circlips and shims back on. I never noticed this before because I never had an issue with selecting gears. Does anything keep it from sliding out or is this normal? I'd just rather not have to pull the cover off again because that was a pain.

 

#13 washer I think the washer will slide down to clip when case is install an that should stop it
