I decided to swap my 26" MudBugs for a set of 27" Bi/Tri-Claws. Man, I thought my MudBugs looked nasty, these Claws are even nastier looking! They fit my bike ok without a lift kit. I'm only using spring spacers. I took them for a real test this weekend along with my friend's new Grizzly. Both our bike's were running the 27" Claws.
I posted only few new pics on the link below.(I was too muddy to handle my digital cam while on the trail).
Click on the link below, goto the "ATV pics" album, then the "AC500" album to see the new Claws and my buddy's new Grizz.

Triston,

The Grizzly is one awsome machine. It's got gobs of power/torque, incredible clearance, and the locking front diff. Stock clearance on this beast is 11.8". Now imagine what it's like when my friend slapped on the 27" inchers! My AC with 11"(center) of clearance bottomed out on one of the deeper ruts, where the Grizzly just plowed through. Mind you we both got through places where other riders warned us not to go through.
The Grizzly is a firm riding ATV. The suspension is stiff compared to other bikes. The bike is also a very fast machine. Forget about me trying to keep up with him. But speed is not what I'm interested in... I want that locking diff on my bike!

GerrBear,
Where did you get the foot pegs for rear passenger? I'd like to get a set so my girlfriend's feet aren't in the way.

Hey TG1,

I got the foot pegs from the Motovan catalog.(Canadian distributor) You can browse their catalog online at: www.motovan.com. Once there, click on the "Catalogs" tab, then click on the "ATV 2002" catalog. There are hundreds of slow loading pages so I suggest you enter the page number once you're in the "ATV 2002" catalog. Foot pegs are at pages 194 through 196. Lots of other good stuff too if you have the time to browse.
I'm not sure if U.S. dealers do business with Motovan. If not, you're not too far from the Canadian border! And with the value of your U.S. dollar compared to our Canadian dollar, you could probably pickup a new ATV or two while you're up here!

GerrBear-
Just curious to know if you've ridden the 'Claws long enough to tell a difference compared to the Bugs. I looked at the Bugs pretty hard before Andy and Boner talked me into the 'Claws. I'm sure glad they did, I love these tires! Having ridden both, I'm interested to know your opinions on each.

Thanks for the time, and Best of Luck!

Mike

Thanks for the info; hopefully I can get a chance to check out the website. The State of Maine has put a stop to buying ATVs from the land up north. A person can buy one but they can't register it do to the fact you need to present a warrantee certificate. This is to help prevent the Maine dealers from losing business. Personally I know 3 people who bought 500SPs up north, don't how it will effect them since their wheelers are registered before the law.

Cowboy,

I haven't ridden the 'Claws long enough to tell the difference from the MudBugs...except for the extra tire height. I hope to get some "good muddin" this weekend if my buddy and his new Grizz can make it out on Saturday. I can tell you this, the MudBugs seem to have a softer rubber compared to the 'Claws. I started noticing some premature wear on the MudBugs' lugs. The 'Claws have a harder rubber and more ground contact.(wider lugs)
I'll let you know...

Nice pictures! In some of your pictures you are riding with an Arctic Cat....they both had Tri/Bi Claw tires. What size machine was it and how did it compare to your Grizzly? Thanks.
