if anybody has a ac 250 4x4. could you tell me if they weigh to much for there engine size. Do you think the motor will hold up along with everything else on the fourwheeler. Also can you still buy that in and out of 4wd for the 02 ac 250 4x4.

They weigh so much because all of Arctic Cat's ATV's share the same chassis. That way you don't get stuck with a cheaper bike along with your engine. On the 250 you share the same chassis as the 500. The Arctic Cat's are SOLID. Take a close look to the amountof metal on the AC and compare it to another 250, you'll see what I mean. Yes, the AC 250 hold up just fine, but it's not built for speed mind you. As for the 250 switching from 4WD to 2WD, I didn't see an indication of this on AC's website. Maybe someone else can clear this up??

I'd buy another 250 4x4, mine has never let me down. I constantly ride with my buddies who own 500s and I can go everywhere they can go. The 2wd/4wd shift is optional ($80) and is pretty easy to install. So far so good.
