Well, I must say that I have really enjoyed reading all your guys' posts. This is a great forum and full of a ton of awesome info. I have been lurking out here for a few months getting educated because we are going to purchase a new quad this spring/summer. 500i man for sure. 27 inchBi Tri Claws unless I can be convinced of a different tire. My wife and I will be riding double at times. (until she decides she needs her own machine) and I will be using it for moose and caribou hunting here in Alaska in the fall. My buddy has a 2001 Griz 600 27 589s. We used it last year and it sure is a pain when you only have one quad!! It sure worked good though. That thing is a beast. We usually go for a week with a wall tent and all the stuff. I need a work quad that can haul all my gear, pull a trailer and hopefully!! 500 pounds of moose meat. If we get two bulls then double that! Anyway, I'm convinced the cat is the way to go. I like the features of the new griz but don't want the electric this and that or the auto. The country up here is pretty rough and varied. I don't want to get stranded 20 miles back in somewhere.
rides4fun, Boner, cowboy and all you other old time regulars. Thanks for all your info and input. Guys like me can come here and get all kinds of good info. I am looking foward to getting a machine and giving back.
For twenty years I've owned 4x4's of different shapes and sizes and used to do a lot of serious 4wheelin in the mountains of western Montana. Most 4x4 owners don't realize what a 4by is capable of with the right driver. I can only imagine what a quad can do. I have never owned one and can't hardly wait. After several months of research the cat wins.

Anybody have 27s on the i yet? Hows the clearance?

Have you guys seen this review? http://www.atvnews.com/output.cfm?id=49501

Thanks again.
