Does anyone know if there is a modification to put a Front Differential Lock on the 500i?

If so, where would a person get this mod. kit? Any idea how much it costs?

 

I know of no modification to lock & unlock the front differential. However you might check Dirty Howies For a full time locker, these are about $100. I wish that Track Tech would come out with a Detroit locker for the AC, they have these for the Hondas. It is an auto matic locking differential, that lets a wheel spin faster than the other one, but will not let a tire spin slower than the other one. These have been used in jeeps and trucks for years, with good results.

I also think that if AC comes out with a locker option for 03 that they will use the same differential as 02, since this is a brand new housing and differential. Then it would be possible to retrofit the earlier models.
