Also, has your dealer replaced the brake pressure switch, it was a major recall. You need your vin number and engine serial number to tell your dealer to check and see if your quad falls under that recall. Remember If you have a lazy dealer, your gonna have to make him get a move on, or find a dealer that will hustle a little for you.
A good dealer makes it a little better.. You definetly got something funny going on with your front end though.

My 375 falls under the Brake recall. I have experienced the brake fade. I haven't taken it to my dealer yet so I bled the brakes to deal with the fade. I had about 300-400 miles on it when it really started to get noticable. I would have to pump the brake lever about 3 times to get the bike to respond to braking at all and even at that the brakes were REAL spongy. There was TONS or air in the lines, after a good bleed they were better than ever. I'm still gonna get it to my dealer tho..
The brake bleed only took about an hour. It wasn't too bad.

Well it is settled.. The dealer is going to trade out the 400i for the 500i. He is going to give me full purchase price towards the 500. I will have to pay for the diff between the 2 bikes but i think that is fair. Hope the 500i Manual has the power that I am looking for. The 400 just didn't have the power that I thought a 400 should have. I think that the gearing is to blame there. The bike would run 55+(by the speedo) but wouldnt spin 25" 589 MS tires in thick mud in low range!?! Go figure. Looking at the specs for the 400 engine, it has the shortest stroke of ALL of the bikes that AC has... The bike needs a motor that has a relatively long stroke to develop torque at low motor speed.

Well I got the 500I and I gotta say so far(3 miles) it is like night and day. The 500 is much better suited to my needs. I am much happier with it so far. Will get it in the mud soon and really see if it will shine like I think that it can.
as for the post by kycat, yes if you can rev the motor up it was ok, but if you are stopped in a mud hole trying to back out... the motor just could not develop enough touque to spin the tires in the mud. Thus my biggest complaint.
My hat is off to Twin county motorsports in Rocky mount NC, they worked with me until I was satisfied and got me traded up to the 500 only paying the diff between the 500 and the 400. For the most part, AC has kinda only said that they were sorry that I didn't like the bike... Oh well...
