hello all,for the last 15 years i have always bought hondas,but when i went shopping for a new quad the ac 500 was the only one that met my criteria,i wanted 500cc water cooled hi lo range and not an automatic.so i bought the ac500 and i just wanted to know if anyone has had any major problems with it or if theres anything i should watch for,i have 30 miles on it and the only complaint i have is the shifter but i guess ill get used to it,thanks.

 

There have been 2 cases of defective water pump seals. Other than that there have been no other problems decused on this fourm.

I have a AC 500 and the only proublms i have had was a rely switch went bad (something electrical) , arctic cat replaced that at no cost to me. I went ridding to do and heared this horrible scream(like something from blare witch) and i started looking around and where the rear driveshaft goes into the diffrential the is a rubber boot to protect something and i stock my finger in there and a o-ring or something had worked its was out. I have no idead but my dealer said he'll try to get it done with out any cost...depends on what it is.but other than that i have been real happy with my atv.Oh yea i have about 1200miles
