New 375 - 2WD Question
#1
Hello all. I'm new to the AC board. I've been on the Bombardier forum for a while now, as I own a DS650. I bought my wife a 2WD AC375 so that we could ride together. I love the quad and think that it will be great for her. I plan on making use of it during deer season as well, but had a question for some of you who are more familiar with the cat. What is the best way to cure some of the body roll? Have any of you added stiffer springs or extra springs?
I don't really care if it makes the ride a little less plush, I'd just like to tame the roll a little.
I would appreciate any advise.
Thanks,
SD

I wish I had an answer, the body roll is the only thing wrong with the 375. Hopefully the 03's will come with adjustable shocks and maybe a kit could be offered for 02s. One thing I've heard of is adding an additional washer on the shocks. Although I don’t know if this actually stiffens the suspension, but it will give the ATV a slight suspension lift.

Thanks for the info. I hope that they do come out with some sort of kit for the 02s. For the time being, I will just add shorter springs on top of the existing springs to make it a rigged dual rate. I know that will stiffen it up. Some of the places that we ride require pretty good off camber handling, so I've gotta do something to make sure & keep it rubber side down...
Thanks again for the reply,

Where are you getting these "shorter springs?" Is this a homemade job or something you've seen elsewhere. If you actually do this modification could you email me the specs? Good luck and keep the rest of us posted.

I'm going to make a phone call to some guys who do custom suspension setups, and I think that if we put our heads together we can come up with something that will work great. When we do, I'll try it out. I'll let you know how well it works. And if it happens to suck, I'll let you know that too.
