Here is my first impressions after 25 miles
ride quality/suspension -excellent
seat/comfort level-excellent
top speed(did not push it break in) 55mph
speed at take off could be better
overall power- good
stock tires-suck
I was worried about getting a auto but I think I made the right choice.

your 400i will really kick in after break in yoll really fill the power diff

 

3tv The kodiak is a nice machine, my desision to buy the 400i over the Kodiak came down to price in the end, the 03 450 Kodiak was about 800.00 more. I was on a slightly down hill grade when I hit 55, it was also paved, You are right it is no speed demon but speed was not at the top of my list
