Here's a new AC guy. I just bought an AC 500 Auto. Seems like a great machine to me, although I only have 70 miles on it right now. Went on a 20 mile ride with two Honda's and four Polaris', no problem keeping up or going where they went. I'm sure with some more experience on it "I'll be the one to try to keep up with"
Glad to be part of the "AC family"

I'm a new AC guy. Just bought a 5004x4, have about 70 miles on it so far. This is my first ATV and I have alot to learn, but this is an awesome machine! I didn't do much comparison shopping, I just like Arctic Cat and they have a good reputation. This is a solid machine and is built well, looks like it'll take me anywhere I can imagine going (and them some!). Anyone know of any good places to ride in New Hampshire?

Mountainman,

I talked to my buddy and he had the same problem u did. He had to take the front rack off and move the front plastic forward. The problem was around the stearing column where some wires plugged together. The one that activates the brake light when you use the hand brake had come unplugged.

I own a AC 4004x4 and love it. I flipped the thing this weekend up in West Point, Tn. I was going down a very steep hill, hit a rock with my right front tire and was thrown off. I was on the ground and looked back, and here comes the big Cat on me. It rolled off of me and down into a rut. I was with my father, whot flipped it over and started it right up.
The only damage to the cat was a slightly bent front rack, bent bandle bars, scratched up plastic and a rear rack that was bent so much it looked like rolling hills. I fractured my clavicle in my sholder and was very sore, but all right.

Here's a new AC guy making first post as a new AC owner. I read alot from here, magazines, Internet, and spent lots of hours looking at/riding and talking to owners of other machines before deciding on the 500 AutoCat. I am fortunate in that crowd I ride with is "brand diverse" - got opportunity to ride lots of different machines, (and not just on parking lots) before having to decide what to buy. Our last riding trip, just the trailer I pulled included a Polaris, a Yamaha, a Honda, and my former ATV, a 1988 Suzuki 250 4X4 that is now in well-deserved semi retirement at the hands of my niece. Just need some suggestions of how to keep her off the new Cat so I can ride it !!
On a serious note, have appreciated the candor, wisdom, and often humor of some posts from this forum. As far as the Cat, got it Saturday, and its rained like hell every day since . Only have about 15 miles on it, but that'll change soon!!! I'll post in future about how I like the Cat as I get to actually use it to work and play.

Boner,

Thanks for the new sites. I may need them if big brother ever runs me off. ;-)
