Four_Play,

Thanks for the info on the brake light. I havn't had time yet to take the rack off and investigate, but this does sound like the logical place to start. I meant to reply back sooner, but I just don't get on the internet very often.

Thanks again,

mountainman

Thats right scav, its me---black helmet and all. Got stuck intentional last night, had to try the winch out--pulled me out no problem. Was in heavy mud and high centered on a stump that had this big block of ice around it.

I don't know where to ride there but have heard there are quite a few. I'm next door in Vermont. We are finding trails here and are having a riot. Learn about more all the time. It seems a lot of guys are getting machines this year and the guys that have had them for a while are very knowledgable about where to go.

Just picked up two AC 500 Auto's yesterday morning. Due to some custom trailer modifications that proved rather time consuming, have only been able to put about 30 miles on so far, this morning.

On a side note, THANK YOU! to everyone out there for all the advice and suggestions. I feel the AC is definately the best machine for my needs, and while dealer test drives are not exactly a fair judge of the ride, this mornings small 30 mile treck left me very confident of the machines capabilties. I am more than thrilled with my purchases of the AC 500 Auto's.

While my Dad purchased his machine completely stock with the extended warranty, I bought the warn winch for my 'Cat. Also used the old grill that was replaced by the winch plate to cut out light guards, which will prevent gravel or other debris from possibly damaging the lens'. Added an old military mortar box to the front rack for storage of extra cable, ropes, ****** blocks and clevis hooks, other possible emergency recovery equipment. (Hopefully I won't need it, but rather have it and not, then not have it and wish I did!). We also added Cycle Country stick stoppers to both machines for CV protection. Next weekend, plan to paint my rims black, to match the grill and bumper, and also add some KC lights for those "extra dark" night rides.

It was suggested not to go more than half throttle for the first ten hours to ensure proper break-in. Does anybody have any other break-in advice? Any do's or don'ts?

Thanks Again!, Happy Trails.

2000 AC 500 Auto, 2000# Warn winch, mortar box-fully loaded, stick stoppers and soon to have accessory lighting.
