Well I was wondering how long it takes for the clutch to wear in! It seems that when I have the momentum to go up a hill in 2nd or3rd and the engine is revving high that the quad will stopmoving. Is that a speed problem or is the clutch not worn in yet? It is a 2003 AC 400cc Manual Transmission. It is about 2 and1/2 months old.

it shouldn't take any "break in" time- or at least that much. It sounds like you just have a mis adjusted clutch. I would either take it back to the dealer and have them re-adjust it (especially if its under warranty) or I could walk you step by step on how to do it yourself. If you want to try and tackle it yourself, give me an email at mudpuppy193@rocketmail.com and I can help you out...

Mudpuppy, speaking of clutches, my 01 300 4X4 has a hard time down shifting. Could it be due to clutch adjustment?
I bought it used, so I have nothing to compare it to. Some times I have to give it a bit of throtle for it to down shift.
Any help would be appreciated.

RotaryRocket-
I had the same problem- well it really wasn't a problem (it was just kinda annoying). Adjusting the clutch did help somewhat, but If you really want it to shift better you can convert it over to the linkage type shifter (instead of cable) as found on the 2003 300.
