I just picked up my 500I manual today and noticed that the high and low range selector won't go in and out of low range due to the handle hitting the plastic on the bike. Has anyone else had this problem and if so what is the cure. I will see the dealer on Monday but I like to get some background first. It looks as though the arm is a little to long , or maybe the plastic should have been notched out for the lever.

I have the same problem. I just pull the plastic out a little to clear the lever and it goes in. You would think this is something they would have noticed at the factory. However, Its a small inconvenience and nothing I'm going to lose sleep over.
