Default AC Plows

I purchased a 60" ac plow when i purchased my 375 and am interested to find out if anyone knows who manufactures them for AC so that it may be possible for my to purchase parts cheaper and easier than going thru the dealer.

Thanks.

I don't know who makes them but how does it plow? Is the 60 inch to much to handle while plowing? How much snow can it move? Doesn't it beat up your quad? I just wanted to know before I got one.

Thanks!

The plow works excellent! It is the one with the plastic moleboard and it works great. I have used it to push snow for 2 seasons now with piles in excess of 6'high. I also use the warn winch to raise and lower it. I live in northern michigan and it has pushed alot of snow for me. I have since sold my blowers because it works so well. The density of the snow you intend to push either makes it a quick job or a longer one but as long as you plan ahead on where to put the snow and how to pile it, it can be a very capable machine.

Hopes this helps. If you have any specific questions send them along.

You said 6 feet of snow at ONCE! Is that what you said? Is it heavy or light snow. Does the quad push it well? Does it bend the frame or do any damage to the quad?
Thanks!

I live south of Buffalo NY on the shores of Lake Erie. We get snow measured in feet not inches. I have used my 2002 400 4x4 act with the 60 inch AC plow for almost 2 full seasons. It still impresses me just how well this set up moves snow. I can plow better than full sized trucks and it doesn't tear up the yard in the process. Sure it takes a bit longer than larger rigs but for side walks and small driveways you can't beat it. I also use the winch to raise and lower the blade and it makes all the difference. I recommed this to everyone who askes.

Default AC Plows

I have the AC plow, I do comercial plowing for a landscape company. Do sidewalks, driveways and small commercial lots. I had to beef up the mouting brackets for mine. I hit some pretty big cracks that knocked my plow off the mount. Basically the mounts had bent inward slightly. So i welded a spacer bracket between them. Works great know. Also made my own skids for it. The original wore out in the first 4 hrs. Welded my own, put some hard metal on the bottom, works like a charm. The rubber flap on the top is a must if you want to really push some snow. Thats all I have. I also don't know who makes it. It sure is nicer and stronger than the country plows.

If it is the plastic plow it is a cycle country. If you need to ever buy a new plow get a Warn they are so much better than any of the other brands out there. With Warn I do not have customers coming back with broken mounts and push tubes like the other brands.

Sorry but I disagree HARW. Mine is a Warn and it is a plastic body with metal frame. Does a good job too. Doesn't weigh as much as the all metal but that just makes it easy to install and remove. Not an arguement! Just information...

You might want to check your plow again. I called Warn to make shure and Warn said that they do not and have not ever made a plow with a plastic body.
