Default arctic cat 700??

This is not going to happen for atleast 2 more years!! First of all Arctic Cat has never ever had a big motor than Suzuki, Suzuki supplies Arctic Cat with motors. Secondly Arctic Cat always gets the new motor one year behind Suzuki, every time. So if Suzuki gets a 700 this summer then Arctic Cat will get it the following summer. Thats the way it works and thats the truth.

So it may very well be in R&D but it will not be out for atleast 2 years. I hope they make a 700 with wicked power, loads of ground clearance, more mud protection, manual tranny, locking front diff and an updated electronic console.

bbertram, You probly are correct in saying Cat won't get a new motor 'till Zuki runs it a year or so.BUT it has not always been that way.

In '96 AC came out with the second largest 4x4 that year.It was a Suzuki powered 454ccBearcat.Afterward they had a scaled down 400 based on the same design, as well.

Same design as the 500's they use now.Suzuki didn't use either engine.Up untill 98 their biggest and baddest was the 300 King Quad.then came the 500 quadrunner.

Soooo, Suzuki hasn't always used the engines A/C gets first.Maybe it could happen again.i hope it does but I doubt it.Competition is always good.If they had offered a 700 last year I would have it in the garage parked next to my A/C sled right now.

kingmort:

I remember that bearcat, how I wanted one....hehe. Those days of Arctic Cat having the bigger motor were in their youthfull days, when they first started making quads. I think Suzuki got a kick in the butt when they did that and now stop them from doing it.

My parents owned two king quads in the past, those were good quads but now they feel like toys!! lol. I got a 500i now I want to trade it off on P650 or Suzuki's new big coming out (some day).

Anyway, its going to be a while before we see a big bore Arctic Cat, unless they switch motor manufacturers?

ALL suzuki did was give them a engine for the 400 and give them a patent for the rest. Arctic Cat made their own engine.

FYI suziki has one of the best engines made. Its their component that are bad that make up the rest of the bike

Suzuki supplies Arctic Cat with all their motors, for quads and sleds. Hell they even took alot of design from Suzuki in the begining.
