Default Fango...

Let me just say...I am not knocking the new machines really. It may be just because I have an older model. I should include the '01 when I say "older" because they really didn't change much from the '00. I think the only thing was the rev limiter.

I guess what I mean is...that I'm glad I didn't have to deal with the minor problems that came with the '02's. The seat latch deal, the ball joint recall, the master cylinder problem, the crappy stock tires, etc...just minor headache type things.

I don't think AC has any real reliability problems. The only complaint I really hear around here is that they are so cold-blooded. But most wheelers are anyway. Most people I know with older AC quads are still running them and are still happy with them.

I am really happy with my '00, is what it boils down to. I am going to keep it for a real long time...unless AC comes out with a wheeler that suits me BETTER!!!

Ya i agree with fango. I just find on the 96-00, the front end if more durable. No plastic to contend with, and the body plastic is way tougher. Those damn headlight buckets on the new ones are expensive!

Fango, ya the 900 is uhh nothing short of amazing. I have never owned a sled but am fortunate to be able to drive someone elses hehe. It pulls like mad! But the wife isnt interested in spending 10K on a machine to use 4 mths a year... :/

Yes I must agree that I do like the sytyling of the 01 and older A/C. But of coarse sytling on a Utility ATV would be second to me after durability. The 03 300 4x4 does have adjustalble shocks,of course they will fit the older AC and I will be putting the on when I need new ones. And you can lock up the front dif. on the old syty AC.One thing I sure like about all years (so far) is that AC has stayed away from a buch of electronics to control 4wheel drive, shifting ect. Also the conventual mech. type speedo is a plus when you plan on keeping somthing as long as I do. The bells and whistles that Honda and others use are going to get very $$$$ to replace as they get older.
