my brake locker works for my 500i
#1
tried out the brake locker that i made this bast week and it realy works like a locker should work. went on a big ride saturday and got a chance to go in a hole that had an angled exit to it. when i was trying to get out my right tire was up in the air and was just spinning and the left tire was not doing anything. i just pulled my right brake that i got off a honda. it stopped the tire from spinning and sent the power to left tire. the left tire pulled my right out of the hole just like my polaris would do. i had severaly witnesses. i did this again in another hole where the left tire was just spinning and i just pulled the left brake and the right tire pulled me out. i was so happy that i now have a locker, and i can still use a limited slip and have easy stearing and i only have to use the brakes when i need to. hope this helps

I Saved your instructions on how to build this, I need to know where I can get the parts from and off of what machine
Also can you feel me in on the Mod again...How you did it and anything you would have done different

Maximus heres what you gave me,but i am unclear about some things
i have less than 100 in everything. i got the master cylinder off a used yamaha. you can go that way to save some money. now the brake line took some rigging. what i had to do because the master cylinder of a honda are yamaha uses a bango bolt was take the line from the tee going to both the front tires and cut of the male tread with a tubbing cutter. then i can a union for a 3/16 line and joined them together. i used this line to connect to the right side (yamaha master cylinder to the right front tire) i used the rear brake line for the left front tire. if i had it to do again i would buy a one solid line about 55 inches long with a bango bolt on one end and a male thread on the other end for the left side. all needs to be 3/16 braided. hope this helps.
What is Can A Union
What did you do at the ACs T where the left and right brake lines meet.
What did you splice the lines "OFF the tee" with. I know you said you took the T off but what did you connect the 2 lines together with on the left side?
What do I ask for at the shop for the right side?
i.e-what kind of connectors and size,
what size line
what kind of brake parts
sorry Im just speciffic

it pulls them fine. i have plenty of power. and the cvs look to be fine now. the angle is not bad at all. as for as the parts. you need to get a mastercylinder of a honda are a yamaha. mine came off a 300 honda. sorry about the union thing. just reread it does not make since does it. anyway. the part is called a union. it is like a compresion fitting on both ends. you just slide the brass brake line that you have to cut off into the fitting and tighten the nut down. i did away with the T. nothing is in that. you could put in a 3/16 pipe cap in there. like i said the honda has a banjo fitting just like where the line that goes into the brake system at the wheels. this is how they hook up the line at the mastercylinder. so what i did was use the union to connecte the two lines together. (line from tee to left and right brake) this line you use for the side with the honda master cylinder. now for the left side you could use the side that is going from the arctic cat mastercylinder to the T. and buy another line from the wheel to the t and use another union to splice these two lines together. i did not do this because i used the rear brake line. but if i had it to do over i would have done this. i hope all this make sense. i am bad at explaining how i do something. end results should be left master cylinder has a line going straight to left tire. right mastercylinder has line going straight to right tire. do away with the t and use the foot pedal to control the rear brake. and 3/16 is the size fitting you need to join the two lines together.

Your brake locker sounds great,,you are the second person that has done this ,that I have heard off.The other guy is a person from Quebec ,Canada , and he said the same thing that you did,,it does work and work well. Thanks for the great instructions on how to do it ,,if AC do not come with a locker this year then I guess I to will have to do this.Keep the rubber side down.

OK here is mine
#1 Bought mAster cyclinder
#2 Bought a long 60 inch braided brake line "off of a yamaha YZ dirt Bike"
#3 Bought a union
OK I took the line running from the junction"T" off and disconnected it from the caliper.
I installed the nw master C. and ran the new braided brake line down to the right tire.
The I screwed in the bango nut into the Master C. And screwed in the bango nut to the caliper. Then I filled the resorvoir and bled the brake. "Right side done"
Next the left side.
disconected the brake line at the Junction
Then diconected at the caliper.
I took the union which already had a brake line that is about 10 inches of braided line already on it and connected the little brass fitting to the hard line comming off the left Acrtic Cat Master C.
Then I connected the bajo nut to the caliper and bled the line.
And Guess What!!!!!
IT WORKS PEOPLE!!!!!!
Took It out back got in parrelel with the ditch cut the wheel to the right Gave it some Gas and the left tire started pulling. The right would not pull me out. So I grabbed the left hand brake and the right tire started pulling, and out of the ditch I came!!!!!!!!
This Works Guys.. BIG DIFFERENCE!!!!!!!!! You should do it!!!!
It cost me exactly 100.00$

So you used a union to splice the left side brake line"Braided Line" To the Hard line. for the left side, which you got from the rear brake line.
Question !! cant you use the union that is on the rear right side of the AC, You know the one that is attached at the bracket. Then just but another one and you can do the same thing to the right side.
In other words
dissconect the left side brake from the tee and caliper, Take a union and connected the hard line comming from the Master C and connect it in the union and braided line and then hook it back to the caliper. This would take Care of the Left side.
Now what did you do for the RIght Side. I know Im a little slow. I just am one of those that likes detail sorry

YES ANOTHER QUESTION
I need to splice the braided line. It is to long. I need to cutt off the banjo fitting thing "the round eye" and cutt of the line to length and then replace the eye part back onto the braided line.
How can I do this and where can i get it done?
