Default Sputtering in water

I have seen comments on here that the float bowl drain is a direct shot to the carberatour and water can get in the easy enough to make it sputter and loose power which is what is doing from time to time.

What can i do for this and what elase would cause this?

Also please tell me any performance mods i can do to my bike? i.e carb adjust, mixture, pilot and such

Thanks guys

There is a small nipple coming off of the bottom of the float bowl. It looks like the float bowl drain. It's not. It's open all the time. I didn't believe it until I tore it apart.

Get a vaccum plug from the auto parts store. I got an assortment pack for about $2. Block it off. It's there in case you turn the wheeler over or stand it up the gas can drain out and not go into the engine.

WHAT IS THE TUBE RUNNING AROUND THE SNORKLE THEN?
AND WILL THE BIKE BLOW UP IF THE LINE IS PLUGGED AND IT GETS IN THE ENGINE AND THE BIKE IS STILL RUNNING?

You must also run the vent line up higher than the air intake, also you can't constrict these lines or the bike won't run right.

The line running around the snorkel is the carb vent hose. If you build a snorkel this needs to be run up with the new piping.

The carb drain hole is fine blocked. I've rode 2 weekends this way. I can now ride in water over the handlebars and just sit there. It's nice!!!!!!

If you lean the wheeler back or flip it the engine will die and not keep running. Don't worry about it. If you ride more than carb deep, it's a must have.

mine has 2 tubes coming off the sides of the carb. do those need to be run higher? i.e. do they suck in water? also when i am crawling up rocks or hills at steep angles most of the time it stalls and is hard to restart is there a way to fix this problem?

330-I think yours has a different carb. Where do the 2 side lines go?

I think its the same carb on my bike, those hoses in the manual are just called "vent hoses" The hoses are about 6" long and just route to the frame.
