I was cleaning my air filter today on my '00 AC 400 4x4 and noticed that the air box had a large slit in the bottom of it about 1/8in or less wide and about the length of the air box. i was also wondering what the extra clamp was for in the bottom of my air box. Have any of you noticed any of these things on your air box?

The slit allows water to drain to the lower half of the air box. The clamp at the bottom of the air box is to allow you to drain water from the air box as well as the duck bill flapper. Hope this helps.

Y2K Kodiak, 2000lb warn winch, gun boot & rack, plus an ammo can full of extras.
