Hey guys and gals what happened to everyone?Does everyone have nice weather to ride in or what?I have posted a couple of questions in some threads and no input.I appreciate everyone's input. It is very helpful.I am looking for info on the linkage you guys use for locking the front diff on the 250/300 cats.Who sells it?Did you make it yourself?I also want to know how wide of tires I can put on stock rims on my 250 4x4>

Check out thread #188862. There is a detailed outline of the procedure. Other people have written that you need to lengthen the shifter rod by about 1 1/2",(cut and weld a piece in) or trim the sleeve to allow the cable to pull out far enough so you have all three positions. I have not tried this, but plan to shortly. I am kind of concerned that you might not fully engage in one of the positions, and ruin the diff., it is pretty expensive to replace. Arctic Cat should be doing this right at the factory, like Suzuki does.

Dont worry
My uncle who has a 99 300 cat has no mechanical skills whatso ewver. he did not lengthen his cable so all he has is 4x4 limited slip and 4x4 locked. He did have to put a second homeade bracket on it,mounted onto one of the supprt arms of the front frame assem. He is going to legthen his cable soon though. Its really simple
