Default Rim Weight

Does anyone know the weight of the stock rim weight for the 2000 model AC. I have an AC 500 auto and want to put 28's on but want to save as much weight as possible. Not sure if aluminum rims would be lighter than the stock one or not. Does anyone know?

Rob, be careful about what you ask. The aluminum wheels come in different weights. If you ride a lot of rocky areas, you're best to have .190's or heavier. However, these may weigh more than your present wheels but they are much stronger than most. If it's weight you want to reduce, you will have to do your homework first by comparing tires and wheels. Last spring, I lost 12 pounds. That seemed to help the quad and me...
