The 300 front diff has a built in locker, Cat will not use it for liability reasons. All that it needs to work is to be able to move the 4 wheel shift lever one more detent into full lock mode. Has anyone heard of one being adapted to the 500`s.

Mumbles, I currently have a 300 unlockable front end sitting in my Cat frame and working out a few details. The pre 2002 300 Cats use the same front diff as the King Quad. The KQ front end will bolt directly into 500 Cat frame using the existing bolt holes. But that is the only thing that is easy.

It would not recommend this unless you are ready to do some fabrication. I am in too deep to back out now, but it will be worth it.
