Default Rear foot brake problems.

I've been hearing a rear clanking noise coming from the rear axle of my `03 500i. Upon investigation I found that the rear mechanical foot brake is dragging the inside pad. The pad looks like it is worn considerably more than the other. I only have about 150 miles on it. I tried adjusting the cable but that only made the brake work worse than it already does. Has anyone else had similar experiences with the rear foot brake? I was thinking I should take it to the dealer for warantee work, but if this is how they all work, I was thinking of just removing it and trusting my well being to the main brakes.

Any others care to share their experiences/ opinions?

my rear break squeeked all the time it drove me nuts and when i tryed to use it it barly worked so i took it to my dealer and thay ajusted it for me, now it works better but it still squeeks but not as much. I would take it to your dealer and see what thay can do for you maybe it was set up wrong rite from the start and wore your pads down, talk to your dealer and see what thay say. if you still got warrenty thay should fix it no matter what the problem is

I'm with VewDew, remove the darn thing. Mine actually broke when I was using it to add some "drag" when re-tensioning the winch cable. It's about $100 to replace so I said "forget it" and haven't missed it once. 'Spose I'll need to replace it soon, though, as I'm planning on selling the darn thing.
